White is beautiful.
Winter is another showcase of nature's beauty. Most of the time I see beauty in colors. Very often I consider white as plain. Somehing that is associated with neatness but not with beauty.
Nature has shown me the real beauty white color brings. It is something more than just indescribable. It is unfathomable.
When I see the brilliance of white snow in a vast space, I feel humbled. This feeling is the same feeling when I sit by the shore and watch the vastness of the ocean.
Birch tree became my favorite since the first time I've seen it. It looks gorgeous in snow. Very beautiful.
Christmas trees decorated with snow all throughout wintertine is another love for me.
The woods and the frozen river are two other sights which leaves me in awe whenever I stand before them.
I love witnessing the transformations brought about by seasons. It's magical. It's where I recharge my energy.
we don't get too much snow here in texas, but i still love the blues, browns and grays of winter, too. :)
ReplyDeleteNo snow in my peninsula world, so I always appreciate seeing lovely scenes like this. The line of birch trees in the first photo look so magical.
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to Scenic Weekends.
A certain stillness seems to descend when the world is covered with snow. You can feel the peace.
ReplyDeleteA very nice photo series ... great winter landscape ...
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Karin
Wonderful birch woods with such candor. The nature we regale its depth dressed in pure white clothes. Have a nice evening.

Beautiful photos, Mari! I do love snow, and even though I don't see much of it in the desert, it's always a welcome thing!
ReplyDeleteI love looking down thru the birch trees. A great series of shots. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI love the seasons too. The changes are so interesting as they change.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of the cold, or driving in snow, but it really is beautiful. I love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I think new snow is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. Nature and what it brings each season are simply amazing. I was born and brought up in Japan, where we have four seasons. When I moved to Florida, it was bit hard for me because it was mostly summer there. Now I live in Georgia and enjoy having four seasons :-)
ReplyDeleteThose birch trees are awesome! That photo makes the snow look like stairs. Exquisite!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying your blog, Mari.
We are inundated with snow here, as well. Cold and uncomfortable, but very pretty to photograph!
